Terms and Conditions for Budgeting. Welcome to Budgeting, a mobile application developed by Devello (“Devello”, “we”, “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Budgeting application, its content, features and related services. By downloading, accessing or using Budgeting, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.
1Purpose of the Application
Budgeting is a personal finance app. It helps you keep track of your accounts, assets and debts, record your income, expenses and transfers, set budgets, plan savings goals, follow recurring payments and understand your spending, including with an AI assistant.
Budgeting works with the information you enter. It does not connect to your bank, hold your money or make payments, and it is not a bank or other financial institution.
2Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or any higher minimum age required where you live, to use Budgeting. If you are under the age required to accept these Terms on your own, you may use the app only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, where permitted by applicable law.
3Your Account
You sign in with Apple, with Google or with an email and password. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials, and your device, secure and for activity under your account. You can add an app lock with Face ID or a passcode under Settings → Security.
You can delete your account and data at any time in the app under Settings → Data & privacy → Delete all data.
4Acceptable Use
You agree to use Budgeting only for lawful, personal purposes. You may not:
- Interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app, its servers or systems.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape or reproduce the application, except where permitted by law.
- Use automated systems to extract data or overload the service.
- Enter content that is unlawful, infringing or harmful, or that you have no right to use.
- Misuse the AI assistant, for example by trying to obtain content that is harmful or unrelated to the app's purpose.
5Not Financial Advice
Budgeting provides tools and general information to help you manage your own money. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Budgets, forecasts, insights and assistant answers are informational and based only on the information you entered.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for your financial decisions. Check important figures against your bank and card statements.
6AI Assistant
The assistant answers your questions with the help of artificial intelligence (Google's Gemini API), based on a summary of your data that is sent only after you allow it (see our Privacy Policy). The figures in its cards, such as what is left in your budget, are worked out from your data by the app, not by the AI.
AI can produce answers that are inaccurate, incomplete or not right for you. Use your own judgment, and do not rely on AI-generated answers for important financial, legal or other decisions. The assistant has daily limits and may sometimes be unavailable.
7Your Content
You keep ownership of the content you enter in Budgeting, such as your accounts, transactions, notes, budgets, goals and questions. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, process and display it to provide the features you use, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You can export it at any time under Settings → Data & privacy → Export my data.
8Privacy
Your use of Budgeting is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we process, why, and the choices you have.
9Budgeting Pro, Subscriptions and Free Trials
Budgeting offers a free plan and a paid subscription, Budgeting Pro, which unlocks goals, the AI assistant and AI category suggestions. Prices, billing periods, trial terms and what Budgeting Pro includes are shown before you purchase.
- Payments are processed by the Apple App Store (or Google Play, where available) and are charged to your store account.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- If a free trial is offered, it becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple or Google account settings.
- Deleting the app or your data does not cancel an active subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- Trial eligibility and introductory offers are determined by the applicable app store.
- If your subscription ends, you keep your data, including your goals; the features that need Budgeting Pro stop.
10Third-Party Services
Budgeting relies on third-party providers for cloud hosting and storage, sign-in, AI answers and app distribution. They operate independently and may be subject to their own terms and availability. We are not responsible for outages, errors or changes in third-party services outside our reasonable control.
11Intellectual Property
Budgeting and its software, name, branding, interface, artwork, illustrations, text and design are owned by Devello or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, sublicense or create derivative works from the application or its content without our written permission, except where expressly permitted by law.
12Availability and Changes to the Service
We may update, improve, change, suspend or discontinue any part of Budgeting. Some features depend on internet access, device compatibility and third-party services. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available on every device, operating system, region or app version.
13No Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Budgeting is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that its calculations, forecasts or answers will be accurate or complete, or that it will produce any particular financial outcome.
14Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Devello and its affiliates, employees, contractors and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any financial loss, arising from or related to your use of Budgeting, including damages resulting from:
- Financial or other decisions you make based on budgets, forecasts, insights or other content.
- AI-generated answers.
- Inaccurate or incomplete information you entered.
- Lost data, technical errors, service interruptions or device compatibility issues.
- Third-party services or content.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
15Termination
We may restrict or end your access to Budgeting where reasonably necessary, for example if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, threaten its security or act unlawfully. You may stop using the app and delete your data at any time. Subscriptions must be cancelled through your app-store account.
16Apple App Store Terms
If you downloaded Budgeting from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:
- These Terms are between you and Devello only, not Apple. Devello, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Your license to use the app is limited to Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- Devello, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer-protection or similar claims.
- Devello, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any claim that the app infringes a third party's intellectual-property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
17Changes to These Terms
Devello may update these Terms to reflect changes to Budgeting, legal requirements or business practices. If we make material changes, we will let you know in the app or on our website. Continued use of Budgeting after updated Terms take effect means you accept them, where permitted by law.
18Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Devello operates, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
