1Purpose of the Application

A Brighter You is a personal-growth and reflection app. It helps you describe the person you want to become (your “Future Self”), follow a short daily ritual of affirmations, an audio message, a small action and an evening reflection, keep evidence of your progress and review it over time.

A Brighter You is a tool for motivation and self-reflection. It does not promise any particular outcome, and results depend on your own choices and circumstances.

2Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or any higher minimum age required where you live, to use A Brighter You. If you are under the age required to accept these Terms on your own, you may use the app only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, where permitted by applicable law.

3Your Account

When your plan is created, the app starts a private account for you. You can add Sign in with Apple, Google or an email and password to keep your progress when you change phones. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity under your account.

You can delete your account and data at any time in the app under Profile → Privacy & Help → Delete my data. If you never added a way to sign in, your progress cannot be recovered on another device or after your data on this device is removed.

4Acceptable Use

You agree to use A Brighter You only for lawful, personal purposes. You may not:

• Interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app, its servers or systems.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape or reproduce the application, except where permitted by law.
• Use automated systems to extract data or overload the service.
• Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, harmful, or that you have no right to use.
• Misuse AI features, for example by trying to obtain content that is harmful or unrelated to the app's purpose.

5Wellbeing Disclaimer

A Brighter You does not provide medical, psychological or therapeutic advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Affirmations, audio messages, actions, insights and other content are provided for personal growth and reflection only.

A Brighter You is not designed for emergencies. If you are in crisis or think you may harm yourself, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line right away; you can find one at findahelpline.com.

6AI-Generated Content

Your Future Self, journey and daily content are generated with the help of artificial intelligence, based on your answers and, if you agree to AI personalization, your own words (see our Privacy Policy).

AI can produce content that is inaccurate, incomplete or not right for you. Use your own judgment, and do not rely on AI-generated content for health, financial, legal or other important decisions. You can mark an affirmation as not for you, and it will not be suggested again.

7Your Content

You keep ownership of the content you create in A Brighter You, such as your answers, reflections, evidence, photos, vision board and your own affirmations. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, process and display it to provide the features you use, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the content you add and for having the right to use it, including photos. If you share an image created in the app, you choose where it goes and are responsible for sharing it.

8Privacy

Your use of A Brighter You is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we process, why, and the choices you have.

9Premium, Subscriptions and Free Trials

A Brighter You offers a free plan and a paid subscription, Premium, which unlocks additional features. Prices, billing periods, trial terms and what Premium includes are shown before you purchase.

• Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and are charged to your store account.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• If a free trial is offered, it becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. The app can remind you before your trial ends if you ask it to.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple or Google account settings, or in the app by tapping your plan in Profile, then Manage subscription.
• Deleting the app or your data does not cancel an active subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
• Trial eligibility and introductory offers are determined by the applicable app store.
• If your subscription ends, you keep the content you created; Premium-only features stop.

10Third-Party Services

A Brighter You relies on third-party providers for cloud hosting and storage, AI generation, speech, subscription management, sign-in and app distribution. They operate independently and may be subject to their own terms and availability. We are not responsible for outages, errors or changes in third-party services outside our reasonable control.

11Intellectual Property

A Brighter You and its software, name, branding, interface, artwork, illustrations, audio, text, library content and design are owned by Devello or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, sublicense or create derivative works from the application or its content without our written permission, except where expressly permitted by law.

12Availability and Changes to the Service

We may update, improve, change, suspend or discontinue any part of A Brighter You. Some features depend on internet access, device compatibility, notification permissions and third-party services. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available on every device, operating system, region or app version.

13No Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, A Brighter You is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that it will produce any particular personal, professional or wellbeing outcome.

14Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Devello and its affiliates, employees, contractors and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of A Brighter You, including damages resulting from:

• Decisions you make based on affirmations, messages, actions, insights or other content.
• AI-generated content.
• Missed or delayed reminders, or lost data.
• Technical errors, service interruptions or device compatibility issues.
• Third-party services or content.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

15Termination

We may restrict or end your access to A Brighter You where reasonably necessary, for example if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, threaten its security or act unlawfully. You may stop using the app and delete your data at any time. Subscriptions must be cancelled through your app-store account.

16Apple App Store Terms

If you downloaded A Brighter You from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:

• These Terms are between you and Devello only, not Apple. Devello, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
• Your license to use the app is limited to Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
• Devello, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer-protection or privacy claims.
• Devello, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any claim that the app infringes a third party's intellectual-property rights.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

17Changes to These Terms

Devello may update these Terms to reflect changes to A Brighter You, legal requirements or business practices. If we make material changes, we will let you know in the app or on our website. Continued use of A Brighter You after updated Terms take effect means you accept them, where permitted by law.

18Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Devello operates, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
